WELLBEING IN NUMBERS

Engaged employees, a more successful company.

Promoting wellbeing at work also means creating an environment that fosters engagement, productivity and staff retention. Several international studies highlight these links.

Absenteeism

Median absenteeism gap between those same categories of units.

According to Försäkringskassan, psychiatric diagnoses, often stress-related, make up the largest share of ongoing sick leave, and the work environment is a key factor.

In 2025, there were over 140,000 more people on sick leave than in 2010. Mental health causes weigh ever more heavily. (Ekonomikommissionen)

Epassi 2026 study:

"Den stora studien om personalförmåner 2026" is the latest edition. It covers 8,000 employees and 3,147 decision-makers in 8 countries. According to Epassi, 65% of employees would invest more of themselves if their employer focused on wellbeing rather than a simple pay rise, and 70% say that benefits have a positive effect on their wellbeing. Key figures

A HUMAN AND ECONOMIC CHALLENGE

Wellbeing at work, an investment in the future.

Stress, fatigue, unbalanced eating habits or lack of movement can weigh on everyday working life.

According to the World Health Organization, depression and anxiety account for around 12 billion working days lost every year worldwide, at an estimated cost of 1 trillion US dollars in lost productivity.

Encouraging better lifestyle habits and integrating a company offer into daily life is part of a broader approach to prevention, quality of life at work and attention to employees.

An approach that benefits on several levels

  • Raise awareness of lifestyle habits.

  • Encourage breaks and movement.

  • Promote a better understanding of food for greater wellbeing.

  • Foster a company culture that cares about people.
